growing pains: if the need is not swollen, warm, or tender, I would not worry too much about it. Try some Motrin over the next 24 hours. If it is not getting better, see your pediatrician.

Varies : There are multiple potential causes and I would not hesitate to have him seen. One of the more common causes in someone with no injury is an arthralgia. Arthralgia referrs to an aching in a joint or joints, often without any real objective findings. In children they can often be associated with a viral ullness, and sometimes the arthralgia can precede the illness.
