No, just better.: I find that for most patients, Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is better. It is longer acting, and it is smoother in in its effect. The patient doesn't "feel" it come & go as much. Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is preferable for most patients i treat who would otherwise be on adderall.

Generally better: Adderall (immediate release) is a mix of 4 amphetamine salts. Adderall xr lasts 12 hours with 50% immediate release beads & 50% delayed release (release can vary among patients). Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is d-amphetamine connected to l-lysine (an amino acid) for smooth more consistent gradual release lasting up to 14 hours. Both are very good but most patients do better on vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine).

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine): Not stronger, but longer acting. It is the pro-amphetamine which becomes Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) in your body.
