Nothing: It take a number of years (average 5 years) for your period to normalize after menarche. In the beginning it's usually irregular and when it does come it's often times excessive and prolonged due to anovulation (and possible polycystic ovarian syndrome). Prolong bleeding may lead to anemia and symptoms such as dizziness. See your doctor for treatment. Oral contraceptive pill may be an option.
