Better.: HER2 receptor testing (along with estrogen and progesterone receptor testing) is done on breast cancer tissue to help guide the oncologist for endocrine chemotherapy. It's better if tissues are positive in each case as this increases the treatment choices. If all three are negative (triple negative breast cancer), the prognosis for cure is diminished.
