No: unless you have other problems, like an inherited predisposition to very high triglyceride levels which can be markedly worsened by alcohol. The doctor who is prescribing your lipid-lowering medication is your best source of information, as well as the dispensing pharmacist. Safe limits of alcohol in women are 1 standard drink/day, no more than 7/week, and never more than 3 on one occasion.
