A member asked:

What physical changes occur during puberty?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Girl or boy?: For girls, the secondary sexual characteristics change, the hips widen, the breasts develop, hair grows in an adult distribution, hormonal changes initiate ovulation and menstuation and later on the growth plates fuse. The frontal lobe remains in a rather disorganized and immature state leading to a lot of dramatic moods and confusion. Onset of an enhanced libido begins to distract.
