A member asked:

Does estrogen levels in females determine how much their faces change during puberty?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Face change/hormones: Estrogen production will certainly influence the appearance of actual body changes during puberty, and can cause acne and oily areas on one's face. The actual bony and muscular structure of the face is not generally caused by estrogen levels, since the same levels are present from early teens until mid 30's, after which the estrogen levels do increase substantially.
