Pain: During extraction -you may require more anesthetic especially if the area is infected however be sure you know the difference between pain and pressure. Pain is sharp, pressure is just that like you pressing on your arm with your finger. after extraction-pain should be minimal. If not see your dentist as you may have a dry socket requiring treatment.
