IAN damage: You could have inferior alveolar nerve damage from extraction of #18 but its highly unlikely. How long ago was your extraction? Typically pain is not a sign of nerve damage (although it can be). Nerve damage usually causes the affected nerves to feel like the area is still numb or tingly. Call your doctor and follow up with them if you are concerned.
