Oxygen Saturation: Red blood cells contain protein called Hemoglobin. Most of the oxygen in the body is attached to the hemoglobin. Oxygen saturation refers to proportion of red blood cells whose hemoglobin is bound to oxygen. It can be measure by pulse oximetry or by sampling blood from an artery.
