Can newborns drink out of a cup?

No: Newborns do not have the developmental maturity to drink free flowing liquid from a cup. Around 6 months of age, we recommend parents introduce their babies to the sippy cups (without the rubber valve in them) so that they may learn how to drink unobstructed free-flowing liquid without choking.
