Infection possible: The initial inflammation from a sting two weeks ago normally would have resolved by now. Persistent redness is concerning for a skin infection. Bacteria can be introduced to the wound when the stinger punctures the skin. Drug resistant bacteria are becoming more common, so an office visit would be wise.
