I have been treated with jock itch and now i have a dark patch on my skin.it's been almost a year but the patch hasn't gone yet.what do i do?

Hyperpigmentation: Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation is a common and normal response during the healing process. When traumatized skin heals, redness, followed by dark discoloration occurs. With time, the site will usually resume normal coloration to match the surrounding skin. Tight clothing may prolong discoloration due to chronic rubbing and irritation.

Post inflammatory: Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation may slowly subside if there is no further skin irritation. It is of cosmetic interest only. You do not need to treat it but a dermatologist will help you if it is important to you.
