A member asked:

I have a strange smell in my nose and wonder if it could be a chemical sensitivity. it seems to be triggered by smells (exhaust) and lingers for weeks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chemical not likely: The most likely reason for a persistent strange smell is a chronic sinus infection. Less likely are injuries to the olfactory nerves. Chemical sensitivity is not likely.
