I seem to have a weird chemical smell in my nose and have done since leaving the hairdressers an hour ago. i also have a headache. what could it be?

Chemical exposure: There are many chemicals in use at a hair dresser. You may have been exposed to one that is causing the continued smell which may not be in your nose, but on your hari or clothing. Many chemicals can cause headache. When you get home try Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen for the headache, change your clothes and take a shower, to seee if the smell goes away.
