A member asked:

Do i need to wake up a sleeping baby to take medication? 5 months old baby taking therapies for asthma.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: If the baby is sleeping peacefully, breathing easy and not coughing then you do not have to wake him up to give asthma treatment. If the baby is working hard to breathe, grunting or coughing then yes, wake him up and give him a treatment. Talk to your doctor in the morning about what he/she wants you to do in these situations in the future.
