Could be many things: Recommend evaluation by a neurologist. Could be numerous problems.

May be pressure: Numbness to the big toe can be secondary to foot function. If the foot rolls in too much (over pronation), this will put increased stress onthe big toe. Bunion deformities can exacerbate this problem. See your foot doctor for an evaluation. Dr l.
