Bleeding after surge: Any excessive bleeding after an operation is alarming and should be discussed with the surgeon right away. A clotted blood usually represents old blood and may not necessarily mean active bleeding however as mentioned earlier the surgeon needs to be informed to get further advice and if continues should go to emergency room.
