Uterine fibroids: depends. Many women have uterine fibroids and continue to go about their business seemingly unaffected. Are you having any symptoms such as excessive bleeding, incomplete emptying of stool and/or urine, lower backache? If you are indeed having symptoms then you need to decide if surgery is worth getting rid of these symptoms. Need to monitor the size of the fibroid with every 2year ultrasounds.
