Yes: Lymphadenopathy or enlarged painful lymph nodes are a common symptom with most viral upper respiratory infections. They are usually the last symptom to resolve and can take weeks or even months to return to normal size. Monitor them but do not poke them. See your doctor if symptoms worsen or do not resolve.

Lymphadenopathy: Yes, with time, they usually will. If not, or if they continue enlarging, need to see your dr. Rule out mononucleosis and perhaps and HIV or even lymphoma if they do not decrease in size over the next few weeks.
