Blood pressure: The first number ( systolic) is elevated. @ 152. The second number is normal. Was this one time blood pressure - if so would repeat it. Our blood pressures can ^ due to a variety of things. She may have normal blood pressure with an isolated high value. If repeat BPs (that are taken correctly) are ^, then have it evaluated. Take care.

Elevated BP: This can be a concern. The short answer is that it depends. High blood pressure is considered a resting blood pressure over 140/90. Many things can cause BP to be elevated such as exercise, stress, and caffeine. What is also important is the way that this is measured and the type of device. Three high readings on three different instances are typically enough to diagnose a person with hypertension
