A member asked:

Why is my stools colour keep on changing from brown to tarry green but no sign of blood? i'm quite concern as it has been 2 weeks now.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tarry is concerning: When you say tarry green if you mean green with some black in it then that is concerning for upper gastrointestinal bleeding. If there is blood in the stomach from something like an ulcer then you can have tarry stools. Best to see your doctor and get a test to make sure there is no blood i your stools (you can't always see it) and if there is any then you will need a colonoscopy.
