Can be difficult: You need to focus or develop relaxation methods. There are many including meditation(like autogenic relaxation), breathing techniques, progessive muscle relaxation, and visualization. Also, it help when certain things like vital signs are being measure that a "white coat" isn't around.

Breath: Breath in slowly & deeply through your nostrils. Fill your lungs with air (but not to the point of discomfort). Hold for a count of five then slowly begin to exhale through an open mouth. Repeat at least 12 times, longer if you need to.
