Short term.: Celestone (betamethasone) is a corticosteroid that helps with inflammatory conditions. Given one time short term side affects can occur. Water retention, short change in emotional status from elation to paranoia, blood sugar elevation can happen.Insomnia to excess energy might occur. Again, these are all possibilities, but resolve within hours to a day. The benefits outweigh risks inshort term usage.
