Get an exam...: An abscess likely needs antibiotics and may need to be drained. That can't be determined until you have it examined by a physician. Make an appointment to have it seen today. Apply warm compresses in the meantime. If you can't get an appointment rather quickly, consider a visit to an ER/urgent care center.
