When i take a deep breath i get a sharp pain in back, top/middle of back. i also feel quite breathless like i need to remember to breathe?

Fever?: Your symptoms suggest pleurisy although there can be muscular causes as well. If you have fever or productive cough, you should have an x-ray done. Otherwise, a simple analgesic like Ibuprofen, rest, and time may be all that's required (and please, don't forget to breathe!)
