Your body: will slowly metabolize(liver) and excrete it(in your feces and urine) over time. Though realize it has a long half life so it will take time. But also realize you may also be feeling worse due to your underlying illness and the progression may happen to have just coincided with starting the azithromycin. I wouldn't hesitate to contact your doctor if you continue to feel worse. Best of luck
