Bring her to Dr. Now: It is worrisome that a child who has been on amoxicillin for 4 days is still having fever and pain. You should have your child seen immediately. You mentioned that only one tonsil is swollen with pus on it. She may have a peritonsillar access, which is a collection of infection behind the tonsil that may need to be drained. There are other possibilities but have her re-evaluated urgently!

Possible abscess : She may have a tonsillar abscess or peri tonsillar abscess, please see your physician right away.Discuss whether a different antibiotic is needed.
