PCOS Treatment: Diane 35, a birth control pill, has a number of adverse effects. If you are not sexually active, you probably don't need a BCP. Treatment of choice for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is Metformin, 500 mg three times daily. You can also use (or add) the herb Berberine, in the same dosage. OTC Natural Progesterone Cream (20-40 mg/day) days 10-24 of your cycle will also help (instead of BCPs)
