Anytime: There is no best time of day to take folic acid. These days, most foods are fortified with folic acid to prevent folate defeciency. However, if you want to take a supplement, I would recommend 1 mg daily with a meal. Most multivitamins have this in them. Your best bet is taking one multivitamin daily.
