Lifestyle: If you are talking about Type II diabetes. Diet and lifestyle changes that result in lower carbohydrate intake, and weight loss are the most effective and overall helpful interventions. If you are talking about Type I diabetes, insulin and careful control of your blood sugar are the best long term interventions.
