A member asked:

I have hashimtos, thyroid hormones @ normal levels right now, antibodies @ 197. i feel awful all the time, is there a medication to alleviate symptoms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Seek reason: Look for another cause. A few percent of Hashimoto folks get an encephalopathy that may be overlooked; this is independent of the thyroid hormone levels. Or you may have pernicious anemia or addisonism that can rush with Hashimoto's. Get with a subspecialist if required.
