A member asked:

My daughter is 57 years old and she is experiencing symptoms of low blood sugar. she can go 4 to 5 days like herself & then it comes back. she us on throid medication. could it be thyroid related or hormone related?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Is she a known diabetic on diabetic medication? If no, I'm not sure why you suspect hypoglycemia although it can occur in nondiabetics uncommonly. Is her thyroid condition hypothyroidism &, if so, is her condition well controlled?. I think it's best to have her get checked by her physician or endocrinologist and have appropriate lab work performed.
