Does not shrink : Birth control pills can be used to decrease bleeding and control the symptoms of uterine fibroids. They do not shrink the actual fibroid.

I am on continuous birth control pills mainly due to uterine fibroids. All of a sudden this week I'm having a period. I have not missed a pill or been more than 2 hours late taking a pill. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Hello, Had open myomectomy in 6/2020, fibroids removed but complicated by retained sponge. I was on pills to decrease bleeding preop and 3 mths post op. To this day no period, on birth control pills, not pregnant, cramping monthly but no bleeding?
