There are multiple: options for tendon transfer. You need to have 90 degrees of mobility, enough soft tissue to cover the surgical incision and have a history of at least 18 months of failed recovery if the problem is due to peroneal nerve injury. Be mindful that foot drop may also be due to nerve root injury, cord injury or even brain injury. Be sure to discuss the risks and benefits with your neurologist.
