This is a cyst: I suspect a sebaceous cyst. It is benign but you can discuss its removal with your physicians. Then your physician can clarify the diagnosis

Cyst: What sounds like you have a cyst with a pore. If it does not bother you can continue to monitor. If gets swollen and painful consider removing it. If it is a cyst it may recur as long as it has the linings intact.

It sound like a cyst: that is not infected. If it is a problem, see your surgeon to consider excising it.
