Right upper abd pain: At post 40, the most common cause for right upper abdominal pain, especially after meals with significant fatty content (fried foods, etc.), is related to gall bladder disease. Large cysts in the liver can cause pain, but most are too small, mono or bi lobed. See your healthcare provider for advice on this: some gall bladder disease does not show up on ultrasound. and requires a special scan.
