Hospital: Please go to the hospital. First, you don't know for sure that you don't have a fracture - even a minor fracture, particularly in the neck. Second, you may have hit your head or just the impact could cause a concussion. The concern there is for brain swelling or bleeding.

More info: Sounds like you have some bruising in your muscles (small microscopic bleeding) ICE for the next 24 -36 hours to limit this bleeding then HEAT to absorb the blood. DID YOU HIT YOUR HEAD Not remembering details is for the most part normal for any sudden trauma BUT if there is a chance you hit your head GET MEDICAL TREATMENT Good Luck Hope this helps Dr Z
