Resp virus: Human metapneumovirus is a newly diagnosed, yet very common contagious viral upper respiratory infection. It basically is a sister virus to RSV (respiratory synctial virus), but usually not as severe. Can use wheezing and labored breathing. Some kids can be hospitalized from it. No meds for the infection but Albuterol/Xopenox can be given for the wheezing. Hope they feel better!
