A member asked:

How will a child feel about staying in the hospital?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Certainly the age of the child and the reason for the stay have an influence. Also, a planned admission vs. An emergent one may cause different feelings. However, as any child in a strange place there will be apprehension and worry. The child maybe fearful, shy, irritable, etc. Hopefully, the parents will be able to stay with the child to help alleviate some symptoms.
