UTI needs antibiotic: UTI implies there is a bacterial infection in the bladder and runs a risk for further extension to the kidneys and blood stream if not properly treated. This is important. Your daughter needs her urine cultured to identify which bacteria and what it is sensitive to for proper treatment. Her doctor will start an antibiotic while awaiting cultures and change it if the infection is resistant.

None: There are no effective natural remedies for a uti in a toddler. UTI's not treated by antibiotics can lead to permanent scarring, damage and loss of kidney function. They must be treated with antibiotics to spare the kidney! That said lots of " pee pee" symptoms in toddlers are not true UTI. Only an exam and a urine test can tell!

Misdiagnosis common: True UTI's in a toddler can signify abnormalities in the formation of kidneys & its collecting system. Each should be thoroughly evaluated with a clean catch or cath urine for culture & treated based on germ found. A few WBC's in a toddlers squat urine sample, even during a fever is not a UTI unless culture proves it. Many can just be bathwater irritation causing pain/itching.
