Penicillans: Without an actual examination, I cannot give specific medical advice on your particular health, but infections should be treated. Penicilans (unless you cannot take them) are about the most thoroughly tested drug for being safe in pregancy. This also would cover amoxicillan/ampicillan and several other drugs.

This medication affects Folic Acid in your body, which is necessary for the normal development of a baby. Do not take trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant.
