Bipolar Disorder is : A mood disorder in which the person experiences high mood/ energy alternating with low mood/ energy. Schizophrenia is a thought disorder in which the person develops impairment in living and has loss of touch with reality. The way to know if you have either of these conditions is through a psychiatric evaluation.
