A member asked:

My grandpa who is almost 67, is being treated for cardio arrhythmia. are these 2 diseases related?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"cardio arrhythmia": This is 1 entity and not necessarily a disease. It simply means that his heart beats out of rhythm. Since all hearts do that sometimes, it doesn't necessarily mean that his heart is actually abnormal. The nature of the rhythm disturbance and underlying health of his heart determine the significance.
