What is autonomic hypotension? cardio defined my hypotension as autonomic w/blood pooling & arrhythmias. prognosis? what can be done? more info please

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hypotension : This is due to loss of autonomic control that help to constrict veins in legs to push blood back to the heart. Due to this phenomenon , blood pools in leg veins and causes fall in blood pressure when you stand up from lying or sitting position. The best thing is to wear tight stockings in your legs as well as take time when you stand up. If you are lying down, sit for few seconds, then stand up.
