A member asked:

My friend says purple when looking at something orange, and orange when looking at something purple. is this a vision problem?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal response: These are called complementary colors. When you stare at purple and then look away, things will have an orange hue --- and vice versa. This is due to color saturation of the photoreceptors in the eye and is normal.
