A member asked:

What are nsaid / paracetamol allergies?

Explain: Your doctor needs to determine if it's an actual allergy or a condition now referred to as AERD or Aspirin exacerbated respiratory disease which also includes NSAIDS (nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen). RARELY paracetamol / acetaminophen can cause the same condition. An allergy consultation is usually needed to sort it out.

Avoidance: All you can do is avoid NSAIDS. It is unusual for people to be allergic to both. See an allergist and make sure the diagnosis is correct.
