I don't believe: That too be the cause. I have s even many patients with six toes whose mother was not on Zoloft (sertraline). If the sixth toe is bothering your sister it is easily removed.

No: This can be a sporadic autosomal dominant genetic defect or part of a variety of syndromes. It is not associated with exposure to sertraline exposure during pregnancy.

No: "I'm a doctor, not a lawyer", but there's no reason to think there's a connection based on any real science. These supernumerary digits are actually very common and are harmless. Taking meds like this one has been linked to problems with the blood vessels in the newborn's lungs, and I'm glad that did not happen. Some folks need these meds, pregnant or not. Best wishes.
