Evil humors: Secondary causes of headaches include anatomical problems e.g. neck or jaw, or metabolic or hormonal problems. When secondary causes are ruled out, you have primary headaches. Their cause can be explained in terms of complexities of brain chemistry; but practically speaking, they're the same as his eye color or blood pressure: It's just the way he is. They ARE treatable. No need for him to suffer.
