A member asked:

My daughter in law is breast feeding, but my grandson is always hungry. is that normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not normal: Increased hunger cues in a breast fed baby suggests inadequate milk production (as indicated by less than 5 wet diapers in 24 hours, or weight gain less than 1oz per day), poor latching technique with inefficient intake, or comfort nursing from pain (from acid reflux, etc.).
